This commercial HEPA vacuum has a 10 AMP motor with thermal and pressure activated motor protection that is designed to prevent your vacuum cleaner from overheating due to restricted airflow. Users of this vacuum may experience a sudden loss of power while using this vacuum - if this happens, the vacuum is undergoing a thermal reset.
Turn the vacuum off and unplug it from the outlet. Allow the vacuum to cool down for at least 30 minutes, then check for clogs in the hose and filter. Ensure that the vacuum bag is not overfull. Replace the vacuum bag if need be, then plug the vacuum in again and turn it on again.
This upright vacuum cleaner has earned a gold seal of approval from the Carpet and Rug Institute. The Carpet and Rug Institute tests vacuums to ensure that they are effective at soil removal, dust containment, and to ensure the vacuum doesn’t damage carpets after repeated vacuuming. The gold seal of approval is the highest rating a vacuum cleaner can attain from CRI.
The power cord is a 40 foot long commercial grade pigtail. The pigtail feature allows carpet cleaning professionals to change damaged cords on site rather than needing to send them to maintenance - an extremely useful feature for busy professionals who’d rather not be slowed down by broken power cords.
This vacuum comes with several on-board tools, including a metal telescopic wand, stretch hose, dusting brush and crevice tool. These tools achieve a cleaning reach of up to eleven feet. The nozzle is 12.5 inches long, with a clear bumper that acts as a furniture guard. The brushroll is metal, with replaceable brushstrips and ball bearings. This commercial vacuum cleaner maneuvers well, as it features rubber rear wheels.
There are five positions that allow for height adjustment, but for the best performance on commercial carpets, it’s recommended that the dial should be on the low setting. The edge cleaning feature provides improved cleaning near walls and stationary furniture. To use this feature, position the right side of the vacuum (from the user’s perspective) near walls or stationary furniture as you use the vacuum cleaner.
To replace the vacuum belt, first unplug the vacuum cleaner. Place the vacuum in the lowest position by stepping on the handle release pedal and turn the vacuum over on a flat surface, exposing the bottom plate. Remove the five screws holding the plate in place, and remove the L-shaped bottom plate.
Lift out the brush roll and remove the old belt. Loop the new belt around the drive shaft and the raised ring between the bristles on the brush roll. Pull the brush roll forward and reinsert the ends back into the nozzle.
Be sure to like up the end opposite the belt so the flat edges slide down properly. Turn the brush roll by hand, ensuring that the belt is not twisted and that all rotating parts move smoothly, then replace the bottom place and screws.
